Haider Nawaz ("we", "our", or "us") built Salah as a macOS application. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your information when you use our app.

Information We Collect

Location Data

Salah requests access to your device's location services to calculate accurate prayer times for your area. We collect coarse location data (city-level) solely for this purpose.

• Your location is sent to the AlAdhan Prayer Times API to retrieve prayer time calculations.
• Location data is cached locally on your device to reduce redundant API calls.
• We do not store your location on any server we operate.
• You may alternatively provide a city name or address manually in Settings, in which case device location services are not required.

Analytics Data

We use Mixpanel, a third-party analytics service, to understand how Salah is used and to improve the app. Mixpanel collects:

• A randomly generated device identifier (not your Apple ID or any personal identifier)
• App usage events (e.g., screens viewed, settings changed, features used)
• App version, build number, macOS locale, and timezone
• General preference information (e.g., calculation method, notification settings)

This data is not linked to your identity and is not used for cross-app tracking or advertising.

Purchases

Salah offers optional tips and an optional Salah Plus subscription. All purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store.
